Petco Love Grant

Exciting news! We received at $5000 from Petco Love Helping Heroes Grant program. This is the third year Petco Love has chosen to support us and we couldn't be more appreciative.  We will be putting this year's funds towards producing two free video series.

One series will be focused on helping rescues, fosters, and handlers prepare a shelter dog for life as working dog. It will be based on the steps we take when getting a dog from the shelter and into the training pipeline for USAR. We hope it helps motivate more people to use rescue dogs in working careers! The second series will be all the parts of the FEMA Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) so new handlers can have a visual of what the components entail.

Foster Pupdates!

Handsome Poe was owner surrendered to the rescue and rocking through his assessments. We are hopeful that Poe will go into Urban Search and Rescue but we know he will do amazing at any job he picks!

Meet Ziva! She just joined us in Washington State. She is being fostered by a new member of our team and will be starting evaluation to determine what her ideal job is soon.
