Interested in Fostering a Dog?
Category 5 K9 is a small rescue that has limited kennel space to save dogs. Sometimes Category 5 K9 has dogs that need long or short term foster placement. Dogs that have been washed out of the working dog pipeline need the opportunity to learn how to adjust to life as a family pet. Other dogs require temporary placement while on crate rest for medical treatment. That’s where awesome volunteers like you come in.

Category 5 K9 will provide you a Foster Reality Checklist to review prior to your phone interview.
After your phone interview a virtual or in-person home check will be completed.
Final approval will be made and we will discuss which dogs we currently have that require foster placement. If we do not currently have any dogs that require a foster we will keep your application on file and reach out when we do have a dog in need.
